The Eagles dropped a pair of games last weekend to the Soo Thunderbirds, 5-2 at the Essar Centre and 6-3 at home. The Eagles are looking for their first victory in their 2015-16 Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League campaign.

The Blind River Beavers earned their first victory since the 2013-14 season, defeating French River 11-2 last weekend. They also dropped a 7-1 decision to Elliott Lake.

The Timmins Rock split a home-and-home series with Kirkland Lake last weekend, falling on the road 4-2, and earning a 6-1 home victory.

This will be the 80th ever meeting between the Eagles franchise and Blind River, dating back to 2003-04 season, when they were the Northern Michigan Black Bears. The Eagles lead the series 51-22-6. These teams last met on February 24, 2012, with the Eagles skating to a 3-1 home victory.

The Eagles and Beavers will meet a total of 12 times this season, with the next contest on October 9th at Pullar Stadium.

The Eagles franchise is meeting the Timmins Rock franchise, formerly the Abitibi Eskimos, for the 47th time, with the Eagles holding a 22-19-5 advantage. These teams last met on February 17, 2012, with the Eagles claiming a 7-4 victory at Pullar Stadium.

The Eagles and Rock will meet four times this season, with the next matchup on December 6th in Timmins.

This weekend fans will have the chance to win over 17 prizes during the second intermission, when they buy a program for $1. Also this weekend, large Eagles schedule posters will be given away, as well as refrigerator magnets.

Season tickets are still available and you can purchase them in the Pullar Box office on game nights, or by calling (906) 259-0522.
