SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Thursday its West Division semifinal schedule between the No. 2 divisional seeded Soo Thunderbirds and No. 3 Soo Eagles.
This best-of-seven affair between the cross-border rivals will commence on Saturday, March 17 at 7:30 p.m. at John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.
The Thunderbirds will also host Game 2, which goes Monday, March 19 at 7:30 p.m. back at John Rhodes.
From there the series shifts to Pullar Stadium in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., for Games 3 & 4, which will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at 7 p.m. and Friday, March 23 at 7:30 p.m. respectively.
Should a Game 5 be needed, it is slated for Saturday, March 24 at John Rhodes and would feature a 7:30 p.m. start.
The Eagles will host Game 6, if necessary, at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 26.
Then if the series goes the distance, Game 7 would be played on Wednesday, March 28 at John Rhodes at 7:30 p.m.
