Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have officially named their captain and three assistant captains.
Forward Jake Hernandez, a hard-nosed hombre and vocal leader of the Eagles, has been named captain, coach-general manager Bruno Bragagnolo and co-coach Jim Capy have confirmed.
Forward Kendall Huckins and defenceman Levi Rowan and Mike Winn will all wear the “A” on their jerseys.
In the NOJHL standings, the Eagles are fresh from a three-point weekend on the home ice of Pullar Stadium, having upended the Blind River Beavers 4-1 and battled the Timmins Rock to a 1-1 tie.
The Eagles now have a record of 1-2-1 for the young season.
