Soo Eagles of the Northern Ontario Jr. Hockey League have signed 1996 birth-year defenceman Cade Nolan, has confirmed.

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Nolan, who hails from Garden River First Nation, played the 2014-2015 season with the Batchewana Attack of the now-defunct Canadian International Hockey League. Before that, he skated for the Soo Indians major midgets.

Eagles coach-general manager Bruno Bragagnolo said he likes Nolan’s skill level.

“He’s a great skater,” Bragagnolo told “He does a lot of things well and he’s very coachable.”
